Partial re-opening of St Austell Library

St Austell Town Council is delighted to announce that St Austell Library has now partially re-opened as a “click and collect” service.

Customers can now make reservations online and pick up their books from the library at a convenient time. Books can also be dropped off at the same time.

In order to ensure that the library is Covid19 safe for the public and staff, this service is operating out of the foyer only. The area is being cleaned regularly with clear instructions on how to pick up and drop off the books. There is plenty of signage both inside and outside of the library to help keep everybody safe.

The times to pick up and drop off books, Monday to Friday are:

9.30am to 11.30am  (Surname A-L)

2.30pm to 4.30pm   (Surname M-Z)

(Flexibility around these hours can be arranged by separate negotiation).

**All fees and charges will be waived during July to assist customers with this new service**

Unfortunately, there will be no access to the public spaces inside the library or the computers at the present time. This will be reviewed at the end of August; at which time we hope to be able to safely allow the public into the building.

You can contact St Austell Library on:

Telephone:  0300 1234 111

We look forward to seeing you again!

St Austell Town Council is pleased to advise that in line with Government guidelines, the play areas in the Town Council’s parks have now re-opened.

Social distancing markers and signage are in place reminding parents/carers and children to keep their distance from people outside of their social bubble and to maintain good hygiene. We are also be limiting the number of people allowed in each play area at any one time.

Unfortunately, the helter-skelter in Poltair Park will remain closed for the time being as it is too narrow to safely keep children apart. This will be kept under review. Some other pieces of play equipment may have to be temporarily removed (eg: swings) to encourage social distancing.

Please help us to keep the play areas safe for all users by bringing your own anti-bacterial hand gels/wipes for use before and after using the play equipment.
