Mayor Andrea Lanxon Gallery

Like every other town and city in the country it was the duty of Councillor Andrea Lanxon, Mayor of St Austell to deliver the official proclamation about the death of HRH Queen Elizabeth II to the residents of St Austell.

The mayor was joined by Deputy Mayor, Councillor Crystal Pearce and other civic officials including Town Clerk David Pooley, Councillor Jordan Rowse, Deputy Chairman of Cornwall Council, Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall, Councillor Colonel Tom French OBE and Rev Howard Flint, Vicar of St Austell.

The proclamation was made in front of a packed Aylmer Square in the centre of the town that saw a cross section of the local community witnessing this unique event, being made of course for the first time in 70 years.
